You have the power to make a difference!
On January 26th, 2010, the Los Angeles City Council passed an ordinance, which would force hundreds of collectives to close. The remaining collectives would be forced to adhere to unreasonable or in many cases, impossible regulations. The City’s new ordinance is harmful to patients and their communities. It would result in severely limited access for patients in need and it would deprive the city of many potential benefits of collective operations, including job creation, commercial real estate market stimulation and desperately needed tax revenue. The Green Alliance is taking action to WIN THE FIGHT against the city to create fair ordinance that will protect patient rights and collectives.
REFERENDUM to PETITION will force the City to either cancel the recently passed ordinance, or put it on the ballot for the voters to decide during the next election. We need 50,000 signatures of voters registered in the city of Los Angeles. New voters may register to vote and sign at the same time.
